Yoan Molinero Gerbeau is a lecturer and researcher at the University Institute for Migration Studies (IUEM) at Comillas Pontifical University.
He holds a PhD in Political Science and International Relations from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM), a Master's degree in International Relations and African Studies (UAM) and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Administration (UCM).
He has been editor of the journal "Relaciones Internacionales" since 2016 and president of the Research Committee number 32 "International Studies, Area Studies and Globalisation" of the Spanish Federation of Sociology, since 2020. Throughout his academic career, he was a researcher at the Institute of Economics, Geography and Demography (IEGD) at CSIC as well as an associate professor at the Complutense University of Madrid and at the UC3M (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid). He participated in several national and European research projects and spent research stays abroad in research organisations in Argentina, Chile and Romania.
